Raymond Vaughn
Raymond Vaughn, 89, of Paragould died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at his residence. Born Dec. 13, 1919, in Schugtown, he was an Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Vaughn was owner/operator of Raymond Vaughn Trucking since 1947 and a member of West View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Vaughn of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie Lee and Teresa Vaughn, Ricky Allen and Shelia Vaughn; and two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Glen Staggs and Dianna and Troy Morrow, all of Paragould. He is also survived by one brother, Leonard Vaughn; and a brother-in-law, Mack Hester, both of Paragould; 14 grandchildren, Jesse Vaughn, Misty Long, Koryn Orr, Larissa Newman, Aimee Cupp, Emilee Bobbitt, Keith Staggs, Brad Vaughn, Eric Caussey, Jason Caussey, Michael Parker, Garrett Chappell, Matthew Chappell and Colton Morrow; and by 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Vada Vaughn; two brothers, Everett and Avon Vaughn; and by four sisters, Rowena Hyde, Jewell Morten, Sue McCullar and Bernice Hester.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Marc Reeves and Royce Boling officiating. Burial will be in the Brown’s Chapel Cemetery.
Jesse Vaughn, Brad Vaughn, Keith Staggs, James Vaughn, Garrett Chappell, Matthew Chappell, Ernie Vaughn and Ricky Vaughn will serve as pallbearers. Colton Morrow will be an honorary pallbearer.

Ruth Wineland
Ruth Wineland, 77, of Paragould died Monday at UAMS in Little Rock. She was born Nov. 15, 1932, in Greene County, the daughter of the late Gus and Nettie Baker Hyde. She was a retired sales clerk at Belk Department Store and a member of Schugtown Methodist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Flossie Ryan; and brother, Jim Hyde.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Wineland of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Meredith Wineland of Benton, Rick and Debbie Wineland of Paragould; sisters, Lucille Diggs of Paragould and Juanita Harvey of Dixie; grandchildren, Jilayna Hammon, Derrin Wineland, Hayley McDaniel, Cole and Cody Wineland; great-grandchildren, Jordan Wineland and Judah Hammon.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Herschel Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Heath Funeral Home.
